Hi Louise Marie, I'd like to write a horncomb testimonial and please feel free to share it with other members, pass it along, etc. Oh- where do I start this ode to my beloved horncombs?
Let's start at the beginning...over 5 months ago in the days when I did not know about Louise Marie (Queen of all Good Hair!) and her Magic Horncombs! I took a chance and purchased 2 combs, sheepshorn and oxhorn and the BTN duo. I had been sad and upset for years because my previously healthy hair was becoming lank, thin, limp and my bare scalp was showing through in my part area. It was terribly embarrassing and I used all sorts of "methods" to artfully cover the bad spots, etc. although nothing was satisfactory. I figured I had nothing left to lose, I had tried Rogaine, Nioxin and all the other magic bullets available before to no avail.
Well, am I ever glad I did try my combs and the BTN duo. I am now a happy Magicpacker and have been for almost 4 months. I received my beautiful horn medicine combs and was immediately impressed with how smooth, beautiful and yep- gorgeous they were. I have told Louise Marie that they are like little works of art to me. I have 13 combs now and I am in grave danger of cleaning out Louise Marie's stock of combs if I ever get to meet her! I started doing my "scritches" faithfully twice daily without fail; scritching the way LML tutorial stated to do. I also used the BTN duo, and later the MP faithfully, again EXACTLY the way Louise Marie states to do. In my opinion, it is pointless to use her line of products the traditional way. She has refined and perfected these methods with years of love and work. I figured that nothing else was working for me, so why not at least attempt to do it her way? Within a couple of weeks my husband was swearing that he saw new hair growth on my scalp. I certainly did like the way my hair was responding, but I was almost afraid to believe that a simple comb could do all that. I faithfully scritched and rubbed and stimulated my scalp with her lovely combs before even becoming a magicpack member, so I assure anyone that these dear little combs are a big part of the reason that EVERYONE is asking me "What are you doing to your hair these days? It looks so great!" I do not have any bald patches anymore either. My hair may not be genetically predisposed to be extremely thick and full, but it is better that I ever thought possible- all this at an age where women traditionally start to sometimes get thin hair. About that age thing...let's get over it! I plan on growing my hair to its full long potential with LML help!
Let's get back to those horncombs I SO love. I wish I could meet everyone personally, and gush about how they really HAVE to try at least a couple. The benefits are truly amazing. They stimulate and funnily enough, relax my scalp all at the same time. I like that "buzz" I get after a good scritch session. My hair is strong, shiny (maybe because of the proteins deposited while rubbing and scritching?) and my scalp is clear and healthy. No flakes, no oiliness either like it used to be. I'd encourage anyone who is the least bit doubtful to try a couple of horncombs. Louise Marie can even guide you through selections best for you. I trusted her on helping me select mine and I cherish each little (some big!) comb! I crave that twice daily session- just me and my horncomb or two! I credit the LML MP system for bringing my hair into a state of health and beauty I never thought I'd see agan. Your wonderful medicine combs are a major part of the fact that my hair, scalp and I are friends again! I feel that I have witnessed a hair miracle. Folks, I don't know what else to say- please consider trying these combs. I could say more, but I am afraind I have gushed on and on already. I know in my heart that you will not be disappointed and will only be satisfied. Louise Marie has shown me in the short time that I have been working with her that she really does care about her customers and only wants us to be happy with our hair. She cares.

I have been using the LML products and following the wise instructions of Louise Marie for about 15 months. Let me tell you I wish I had gone to her sooner!! Can I tell you how many times I walked past the non-salon and been curious as to what happens there but never acted to find out!! After a recent visit I got a trim and some restyling and my hair hasn't been this great for years. I must say that it is soft and really responds well to styling and shaping when I blow dry lightly. Today was a day when I actually felt good about by hair and how it made me feel in public. In order to get these same results you have got to use the products as instructred by Louise Marie and you have to do all of the other aspects (combing, oil, latherings, conditionings) exactly as Louise Marie tells you to do. She's not pulling this from thin air she really does know what she is talking about. I'm getting great results by using only the BTN duo the whole time. Imagine the results that I could get if only I would get off my butt and get the cash to get my magic pack!!

Hooray for #18 Longhairs SOS scalp oil!! So you thought that it was only for the hair on your head, well let me tell you what else it is great for. I have been blessed with the genetic predisposition to get cold sores. I was once offered by my doctor a medication that I could get him to prescribe as soon as I felt one coming on. Then I could take this drug and it would heal it faster. Great way for him to get $$$$ from OHIP since I would have to make an appointment to see him!! I don't need to do this though since all I really do is apply a nice layer of scalp oil to my cold sores. Boy does it really act fast to get them under control and get rid of them within a couple of days. In the past using those messy creams and ointments from the drug store it could take a week to get rid of them and sometimes you would get a very sore scab on top of it. Not pretty!! But use a little #18 Longhairs SOS scalp oil and all is well fast!!

Over the years I have had a horrible time keeping my fine dirty blond hair looking good. I always have dreamed of having long hair however I could never grow it long without the dull colour, brassy, split ends and hair breakage.
I came in to see you in the spring and have used your hair products and hair care process since that time. I just wanted to let you know I have caught so many people staring at my hair. It feels light and soft, it falls beautifully around my face. I LOVE IT. I just love my "#19 Longhairs® Honey-Bee-Long Deep Treatment"... and here's why: I have been swimming in a salt-water pool for about 5 years but my hair was still getting chlorine damage. I have the silicone swim caps and was just using a lycra cap and was not wetting my hair before going in the water. Louise Marie suggested that I wash my hair first and then put on some Honey Bee before I put my swim cap on and then rinse it out when I got out of the pool. It worked great and this time there was almost no damaged hair! I also love it as a skin cream.
I'm obsessed! I have dyed my hair one to many times and ended up with dull "hay hair" that never grew past my bra line. But that has all changed now.. With long, curly redhair I've wasted hundreds, if not thousands, on hair products that promised the world. I had always had problems with my scalp. It was red, itchy, and flaky unless I used dandruff shampoo. My hair was a battle to comb out in the shower, even with handfuls of conditioner.

I received my order today (a day early - yay Canada Post!), and everything arrived snug and safe. All I can say is...wow. I found your website while I was on a search for a "For Me" Birthday present. I was actually looking for a simple horn comb.
All my life I have had fine hair that just never looked right long, even now it's in a jaw line length bob. While reading about your products I wasn't sure if this was the right place for me. I browsed your sites for hours, seriously. I was impressed with the amount of information available and the details that were included. I wasn't sure I was willing to spend so much on some shampoo, conditioner and a couple combs. I figured, what the heck? It's only birthday money, what's the worst that could happen, I could have great hair.
My shipment arrived today, so I opened my birthday present, read through the tutorials and headed to the shower.

Even with just one washing cycle (I followed the directions though and lathered 4 times!)
I can't believe the difference in the way my scalp and hair feel. I could be happy with longer hair if it felt and looked like my hair does.

New Shower Filter Feedback...definitely a "Wow" factor about it!!
I just recently purchased the LML Longhairs shower head and filter ... All I have to say about it in a nutshell is there is definitely a "Wow" factor about it ... Who would of thought about making a big deal about a shower head and filter but I'll tell you ... Your showers will never feel the same once you try this product ... In my opinion you feel refreshed and revived and you will just feel different all in a positive way ... You will just have to try it for yourself to understand what I'm talking about ... I wanted to tell you that the new shower head and filter that I got from you has made considerable differences in my hair and skin. My hair is silkier and thicker. I suffer from rosacea but I find that it is less of a problem now..there isn't the redness that I used to have when I get out of the shower. It is a nice shower head too, with all those different settings that I still have to try out.

I had been postponing getting my hair cut for about 3 years. My hair is to the small of my back, and I didn't want another hack job that only looked good blow-dried. I was on a mission! I searched high, I searched low, and then I found her quite by chance (or was it fate?).
Getting your hair cared for by Louise Marie is the best you could ask for. She is a joy to speak with, knowing her craft inside and out; she is an encyclopedia of holistic hair advice. Louise Marie puts you at ease with her down to earth, no nonsense approach, spending as long as it takes to get it right and beautiful.
My hair was not doing well. My previous hair cut was still maiming my skull. My ends were split more than a few inches, it was dry and stuck together, coarse like a mane. These were not the silken strands I so hoped my head would house.
Louise Marie taught me how to use the products correctly, explaining as she demonstrated, letting me feel the differences occurring immediately. We discussed what I was looking for, and then she sat me in her big antique barber's chair overlooking Yonge Street and worked away. Her skill is such that she only uses scissors. No funny appliances, no chatting up this or that technique. True artists don't have to market to their clients, their work speaks for itself.
I hadn't had bangs since I was four years old. I was so nervous! I walked out of their with a new love for my hair, it was shining, light, more like it used to be when I was younger. All thanks to Ms Longhairs, her magic scissors and elixers!
When I got home I used the shampoo and deep conditioner I had purchased every day. The next week I went back for a check up with Louise Marie. It was much better, but not as good as that first day. She took the time to go over with me exactly how I was using it, and explained what I may be doing incorrectly, and what I should do to improve it (demonstration included!).
I picked up a natural bristle (Baby Kinder)brush and a Flexipick for the conditioner, some clarifying spray for skin and hair and some scalp oil. Iwas excited to go home to try my new products and techniques.
It is amazing what a small change in technique can bring (Major change for the best!). My hair has never been so shiny, luminous, manageable, tangle free, and most importantly, pettable!
The #27 Chillout clarifying spray works wonders for blemishes and ingrown hairs, the Flexipick is amazing for snags and distributing conditioner in the shower, the brush makes your hair extra soft!, and the scalp oil is refreshing as well as a good excuse to get (or give!) a scalp massage.
My parents were coming into town and our dog desperately needed a bath. We had no pet shampoo. He has very sensitive skin, it is always flaking and itchy, with lots and lots of dander and hair that sticks in his coat.
I thought, if it works for me, why be so selfish? Why shouldn't extended family benefit as well, animals are deserving of the joy of fabulous hair too! So I imparted the gift of the Longhairs shampoo and conditioner to our furry friend. I tell you, he has never been so clean! He gets compliments on his coat every time we go out. I have been a client and Magicpacker of Louise Marie's since 1990. At that time, one of the bands that I was playing with was producing a video and she was the hair stylist that was hired by the production house for the shoot. I immediately liked how she got my hair to lay. The more I spoke to her that day, the more I realized how serious and knowledgeable she was. My first cut at her salon left no doubt that I had found a person who would not only cut my hair (and leave it long), but oversee and educate me on how to make it (and keep it) healthy.
In 1990 I was 31 years old and for at least 5 years before that I had been concerned about how much hair I was losing in the shower. In 2009 I turn 50. I have a full head of long dark hair and (my father's genes aside) I believe that this is due to Louise Marie's products and the techniques that she has shown me to use them. You only need to use her products to appreciate their quality. I was impressed when I found out that she is her own chemist. These products are designed by her to be good for your hair and scalp. I believe that there is nothing on the market that is as good. On the rare occasion when I was forced to use commercial shampoo I was immediately aware of the harshness of the detergents and the garbage that is added to make these products look and smell the way they do. Her products are organic and mild and I can see and feel the difference that they make. It turns out that even the way you apply shampoo can have an impact on the condition of long hair. Another thing that other men with long hair might not appreciate is the benefit of having a good quality comb. I am not a person who obsesses about my hair. I have chosen to wear it long. Many of the gigs that I do these days require that I wear a suit, and I frequently have to cross the border to play in the US. I have found that keeping it healthy and groomed makes it less of a problem for people who might otherwise have an issue. It brings to mind a slogan that Louise Marie was using when I first went to her. "Don't stare, grow your own"
My experience with hair stylist before meeting Louise Marie was not good, partially because I gave them too much credit and let them talk me into haircuts that took years to grow out. The most traumatic of these haircuts was in 1986. I had been growing out layers that had been cut in by previous scissor-happy hair stylists, and was just to the point where the bottom layer could be cut into the one above. That year I was finishing the music program at Humber College and thought that I would get a trim for my final recital. I went to a place that my sister had recommended. I explained to the stylist that I was growing out these layers and needed to clean up the look for this recital. The very first thing this woman did after putting the apron on me was to gather my hair at my back. Then she actually said "say good-bye" and cut off my pony tail (from the middle of my back to my collar). She then took the hair she had just cut off into another room before coming back to finish the haircut. I'm sure the bitch sold my hair.
I have wanted to write a note of appreciation to Louise Marie for some time now. My hair gets cut less than twice a year. As I began to feel the need for a trim this last time, I happened to be driving by her salon and saw that she was no longer there. It was a number of weeks before I had the time in my schedule to call to make an appointment. For that time I did not know where or why she had moved or if the phone number would still be good. The possibility occurred to me that for any number of reasons, she may have closed after 30 years. I was quite relieved when I did call to find that she had moved only a couple of blocks to a new location that is bigger and better for her. I wish her great success at her new location and I will remain her client as long as I have hair and she has clients. And if you are in the Toronto area and happen to see a band with a sax player with long hair, please say hi. All the clients of Louise Marie that I have met are as interesting as she is.

I really notice a difference with the Longhairs Omega 3 oils.
For the first time ever, someone close to me (my husband in this case) caught a cold and I was the one who didn't. This has never happened to me before. The only thing different in my routine was that I started weight training and taking your omega 3 oils. Also, I'm less fatigued and experiences a lot less joint pain. I'm not even taking the top recommended does either (I'm doing the second best dose).

Little 4oz shampoos pumpers, are sweet!
All the pump caps are so handy! I don't need to guess at how much shampoo or conditioner I need, just remember how many pumps! Also helps you see which products you need more or less of. With the bigger bottles (I keep my 10-B in a larger container so that I'm not constantly refilling it), it's less strain on the body, because you're not picking up a full and heavy container.

I was first introduced to Louise Marie Longhairs and her fabulous hair products approximately 9 years ago.(and have Magicpacked ever since!)
My best friend lived in an apartment across the street from her relaxed "non" salon and was dying to get her hair done by Louise Marie. I decided to give her her first appointment with Louise Marie as a birthday gift. I called and made an appointment for her consultation etc., I decided to get a consultation myself at the same time and settled the details with Louise Marie. Both of us had longish hair, (mine was just below my shoulders and my friend's was mid-back length). I told another friend of mine what we were doing and she wanted to come with us. I called back and arranged everything with Louise Marie.
Great! All three of us would go together!
Finally the day of our appointment arrived. I was not planning to actually get my hair done by Louise Marie that night, I was just going to get a consultation and come back at a later time for a cut etc. That all changed once I saw the incredible transformation of both my friends' hair. WOW! We all got "the works". That is to say, we got the scalp treatment, deep cleansing and conditioning, as well as a fantastic cut! I absolutely HAD to get my hair done right then and there. Afterwards, we purchased our magic packs as well. With such a "WOW" transformation of our hair, we wanted to keep it that way. Healthy, shiny, full of body. I had never seen my hair look so good! Both of my friends felt the same way as I did, so we HAD to have the MAGIC PACK because it really was MAGIC! And Louise Marie was the magician!
I Love my long hair now. Before meeting Louise Marie and using her great, NATURAL products, I was contemplating cutting my hair to chin length. I am so glad that did not do that to myself. I am a Magicpacker that has 4a/b relaxed Black African hair and I use 10-A twice a week (still using the rest of the MP conditioners on the other days.)

I got a BTN kit and I love it! Now I wear my hair down more and it shines like polished golden brass (I am a natural strawberry blonde) I can't believe how your products have repaired my damaged hair!! My hair is softer and looks considerably thicker than before.

I don't know if you'll remember me--I came in last week with our mutual friend,Sharon C**** A***, and I bought some Smoothing Face Cream from you. I'm just writing to tell you that I LOVE it! The best cream I've known up until now is Doak's Formula 405--do you know that one? It absorbs beautifully, but it's really full of chemicals.
You have skin like a baby's, and Sharon and I both thought it must just be genetics--no one has skin like that unless it's some kind of inherent miracle. .....But I noticed a difference the very first day I tried your facecream.
