Larger-tined hair combs for scalp pre-pre-scritching, combing dry or oil use massaging, dry use detangling, scalp rubbing, and length combing.6-8 TPI's adds shine, strength, zero-drag functionality, circulation, fortification, shining, and de-dusting.The tines (what teeth go through the hair)are size-rated (hence sections they are sorted into)and not thickness rated but are relative to combs thickness.The X's are the comb's thicknesses noticeably but still approximately that many more times more than a slender specific to that model of comb. Example 4x is a much thicker and heavier comb than a 1x.
